EAT: This little piggy
This little piggy, from the Kimberly Chinese Restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui, did not die in vain.
Being slaughtered at 20 days, gutted, stuffed with fragrant rice, slowly roasted and then disembodied for the delight of some rather greedy food lovers may not be how it imagined to go.
But dear Pepe* the pig, you brought such joy into our lives with your sweet, crispy crackly skin and tender nuggets of milky flesh. Though your ear might have been too tough still for some to swallow, and your tiny teeth brought but a shiver down some of our spines, we are grateful.

* Pepe was what our dear pig was christened after the meal. Suits him, doesn’t it?

Oh I weep as I didn’t have to try this pig when I was in HK. I want it.
